There is nothing more basic than Art. According to the Dana Institute, Art Edu­ca­tion "influ­ences learn­ing and other areas of cog­ni­tion." Does that mean Art makes you smart? Most likely. It has been shown to increase focus and problem-solving abilities. But more importantly, Art opens up pathways of expression that science is only beginning to understand. So, will the Washington Art Movement turn your child into a super Art genius? It's possible, but more realistically WAM will give your young Picasso an appreciation for the styles and techniques of other modern artists, while educating them on the basic Principles of Art.
